Reflections from the Rockies: A Creative Journey
Share
I recently returned from a trip to Banff, Alberta, and the surrounding mountains, a journey that felt like stepping directly into a living canvas. Being surrounded by such raw, majestic landscapes was a profound reminder of why I am drawn to the abstract and expressionist forms in my own work.
During my time there, I was able to visit some of the most iconic and soul-stirring locations in the world:
Lake Louise & Johnston Canyon
The Power of Water: Standing at the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park
Spiritual Connections: Visiting Lake Minnewanka
High-Altitude Perspectives: Taking the Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain
Home Away from Home
While in Banff, I was incredibly fortunate to stay at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Being immersed in an environment dedicated entirely to the pursuit of artistic excellence was the perfect backdrop for this retreat.

This landscape is starting to take shape.
