This piece was born from a desire to capture movement—the relentless, joyful rush of water cutting through the quiet dignity of an autumn landscape. The fiery orange and golden canopies stand as bright, silent witnesses to the churning, cascading falls below. I wanted the sky to feel expansive and breathable, a mosaic of pastels that offers a soft contrast to the heavy, grounded earth tones of the rocks.

approached this canvas wanting to physically build the landscape. Laying down thick, deliberate layers of paint allows me to sculpt the rushing water and the rugged edges of the rocks. You don't just see the waterfall; you can feel its volume, weight, and direction in the very ridges of the paint.
